Handrail types
Join handrail with LSG pane by gluing with group E permanently elastic sealing compound according to DIN 18545-2.
To do so, cut out the top side of the rubber spacer every 1000 mm and glue the handrail profile with permanently elastic sealing compound onto the edge of the pane.
Gluing is recommended especially on the ends of the handrail profiles.
The handrail must be taken over the adjoining pane not butted. On parapets with only one glass pane, the ends
of the handrail profile must always be connected to the building structure.
From a pane width of 1000 mm, the handrail does not need to be connected to the building structure, however the fastening spacings are considerably reduced by this.
We therefore always recommend connecting the handrail profile to the building structure.
