ABEL METALLSYSTEME WINS SOUGHT-AFTER ARCHITECTS’ PRIZE

On 08 November 2018, the ARCHITECTS' DARLING Award was given out by Heinze GmbH for the eighth time. Under the category “Best Product Innovation - Development”, the company Abel Metallsysteme & Co. KG from Geisa won through with its AQUA VIVA balustrade system.

Heinze GmbH is the leading construction portal for product information, company profiles and architectural projects. Heinze has been assisting and supporting architects and planners with detailed planning for 55 years. For many years Heinze has conducted the largest industry survey across Germany under ARCHITECTS’ DARLING, in which, for the first time, over 2000 architects took part in 2018.
An accurate evaluation is made in 23 product categories to determine which companies have understood the needs of the architects and planners.
Klaus Peter Abel, the managing director of the family-run company, Abel Metallsysteme, proudly accepted the award and was delighted by the recognition from the industry. He came up with the idea for the innovative AQUA VIVA product, a balustrade with drainage completely integrated in the profiles. Solving the problem of neatly draining water from balconies and terraces is a challenge that architects frequently have to face. AQUA VIVA forms a symbiosis between the balustrade and drainage. Rain and seepage water is reliably taken away through an invisible drainage channel. The parapet system is unique on the market.

The company Abel from Geisa in Thuringia has long since been known for its solution-oriented developments. The system provider of fall protection devices and balustrades has made a name for itself in the construction sector over its almost 100-year company history and, with its products, stands for innovation, quality and design.
Consequently, Abel Metallsysteme will once again exhibit well-thought-out solutions at “BAU” in Munich, the world’s leading trade fair
for architects. Those who would like to get to know the products should make sure they visit exhibition stand 524 in Hall B2 from 14 - 19 January 2019.
