Abel Metallsysteme is an “outstanding training company 2019”

Erfurt/Geisa. The company Abel Metallsysteme from Geisa was honoured by the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the employment agency for its great commitment to the training of young skilled workers. Managing director, Klaus Peter Abel, accepted the “outstanding training company” award last Monday in Erfurt from the general manager of IHK Erfurt, Dr. Cornelia Haase-Lerch, and the chief executive of the Suhl employment agency, Wolfgang Gold. For many years, Abel Metallsysteme has been training young people in the occupations of cutting machine operator, toolmaker, industrial mechanic, technical product designer, office management assistant and industrial management assistant.

“I am very proud of this award,” said managing director, Klaus Peter Abel, at the award ceremony. “I see it as a wonderful job to accompany young people at the start of their career. Very often they are laying the foundations for their future path. That is a great opportunity for a training company and at the same time a great responsibility.”

Companies are awarded the seal of approval when, for example, they have been training people for many years, looking after them notably, such as preparing them intensively for exams or enabling additional qualifications, offer good chances of taking them on and furthermore are involved in the area of career guidance for pupils. “My thanks go out in particular to our trainers, who look after our apprentices from the first day,” said Abel. Anna Marie Bollenrath is one of eight apprentices currently at the company. The 17-year-old completed her apprenticeship to become a cutting machine operator in her 2nd year of training. She felt very happy at the company from the start. “I really enjoy the work here. I like the family atmosphere at the company and am able to work in my home town. My colleagues supported me from the first day and were great at taking me into the team,” says Anna Marie. If everything goes well with the training, she would like to stay at the company.

Many of the apprentices are taken on at Abel Metallsysteme and are then given the opportunity to develop further within the company. “For example, we also offer further courses of study to employees after their training, because we benefit jointly from the skills and abilities that they thereby acquire,” says Klaus Peter Abel.

Abel Metallsysteme will offer training in the coming year too. School pupils can still apply. Information about the training on offer is available at www.abelsystem.de or directly from Gunda Weber, by telephone on 00 49 (0) 36967 / 5937 - 45 or by email gweber(at)abelsystem.de .
